Counseling is also available for family members and friends of sexual violence victims.- One-to-one peer counseling- Hospital Counseling/Advocacy: Counselors are available to provide counseling, offer information, provide options, and support sexual assault victims at the hospital when they come in for an evidentiary exam. If the victim wishes to make a report to law enforcement, the counselor will remain to provide support. If, upon arriving at the hospital, the sexual assault advocate is told that the victim does not wish to have an advocate, a packet of written information will be left for the victim, and the advocate will leave. Advocates provide support to family and friends of victims in the hospital.
