Responsible for administering assessment for the county. Supervises and advises local jurisdictions on assessment matters, conducts statistical studies of assessment ratios, prepares appraisals for the County Board of Equalization and tax court, and advises the County Board. Provides assessment services for all unorganized townships and organized jurisdictions that contract with the county. Reappraises all parcels at least once every five years, inspects changes affecting value, administers homestead and other classifications, reviews taxpayer complaints, and assists local Boards of Review in evaluating appraisals.

Provides cash assistance to help adults receiving Supplemental Security Income - SSI pay for their basic needs. The Residency program is designed for 5th graders to participate in a capstone project as part of their school day and learning curriculum in their final year of elementary school. Following the show-in-a-week model, GREAT teaching artists work with students Monday -Thursday, leading theatre exercises, auditions, and rehearsals. Through this activity, they are learning the art of theatre as well as life skills such as collaboration and leadership while building empathy and confidence. During the school day on Friday, students perform their show on-site for their classmates, families, and the greater community. This program takes place at school, eliminating the barriers for students to participate. Cash-grant program for adults with low incomes experiencing a household emergency. Adults can receive assistance once every 12 months. The assistance received must resolve the crisis. Adults must use their own money first. The amount of assistance provided might not cover the entire emergency, but it can help. EGA can offer emergency help with moving expenses, furnishings, appliances, home repairs, to prevent foreclosure, employment-related expenses, shelter, and utility bills.

Adult Foster Care means the provision of food, lodging, protection, supervision, and household services to a functionally impaired adult in a residence and may also include the provision of personal care, household and living skills assistance or training, medication assistance and assistance safeguarding cash resources. Adult Foster Care licenses are issued through the individual counties and are available for settings of less than five residents. Adult foster care license holder may have a maximum license capacity of five if all persons in care are age 55 or over and do not have a serious and persistent mental illness or a developmental disability. There are two types: - Family adult foster care home means an adult foster care home that is the primary residence of the license holder, and in which the license holder is the primary care giver. - All other Adult Foster Care arrangements are considered Corporate Adult Foster Care and need to register under HWS with the county, if they meet the HWS criteria.
