Sewing and Crafts - Creates comfort items including blankets, newborn holiday stockings, tummy pillows, hats, and other projects for patients. Special Events - Assists during special events that are either hosted by OMC or attended by OMC staff and/or the Volunteer Coordinator. These events can include holiday and cultural festivals, community celebrations, volunteer recruitment, back to school events and more. Volunteers will speak to attendees about OMC and pass out logoed items. Spirituality Volunteers - Offers spiritual support to patients, family members, caregivers, staff, and others. Certified clergy or lay persons may provide visits. Spiritual care services include, but are not limited to, communion, companionship, spiritual counseling, last rites, prayer, and baptism.
