Located on a 17-acre native prairie and wetland, the center offers hands-on nature exhibits, special nature-themed children's programs, and other programming throughout the year. Additional services include a community garden, natural playground, picnic area, and sites for camping.

Operates youth development training, providing STEM-centered education, job readiness, and life skills training at the intersection of urban agriculture, conservation, and food entrepreneurship for youth ages 14 - 21:Market Garden Program: operates five urban vegetable, herb and flower gardens hosted at various partner locations including government property, a nursing home, a restaurant, and churches. Interns help plant and maintain the gardens, operate a farmer's market stand and sell produce to local restaurants. During the fall and winter, they develop entrepreneurial skills by creating and selling garden-related products and operating a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA).Conservation Program: interns work on community-based restoration projects such as building rain gardens, renovating parks, removing invasive species, and maintain 278 acres of green spaces in four parks.Cook Fresh Program: interns develop skills in food preparation and preservation, nutrition literacy, and creative cooking through collaborations with Twin Cities chefs.

Offers a nature center that is open year-round, which includes three miles of hiking trails through oak and aspen forests, past prairies, and through wetlands with floating boardwalks. Along the way, view native plants and wildlife. Various programs include:- Adult Programs: Coffee chat with Nat and biking programs- Birthday party rental for children ages 4-11 years old- Day camps offered for children ages 4-14 years old, ranging from half-day to four-day camp programs. Provides educational classes and service learning opportunities for groups:Gardening Education Classes: throughout the growing season, garden interns provide youth groups and adults with fun, hands-on learning projects at Urban Roots gardens. Community groups learn organic growing techniques and help with planting, maintenance and harvesting.Cooking and Nutrition Education Classes: hands-on nutrition classes taught to students in St. Paul Public Schools and othereducational partners. Youth and families are taught cooking at various community sites.Environmental Educations Classes: promotion of environmental awareness to elementary and middle school children.Farm Field Trips: Opportunities for groups to tour and visit a working vegetable farm in the City of Saint Paul.??Storytime in the Garden: Weekly story time at the Children's Garden at Rivoli Bluff Farm & Restoration Site in partnership with Saint Paul Public Libraries. This activity is geared toward small children and families.
