Senior Citizens Property Tax Deferral Program: - Allows real estate taxes to be deferred until the sale of the home or the death of the homeowners. If property taxes exceed 3% of the applicant's net income, the remainder is converted into a low-interest loan that becomes a lien on the property. The program will begin the year after application is made to the program. Any tax refunds or rebates will be applied to the deferred tax total.
