The appointment calendar opens one month at a time - on the second Monday of each month the calendar is open for scheduling appointments in the following month.Pre-Purchase InspectionOffers free pre-purchase inspections. Alerts individuals of any repairs that are needed to help individuals make the best possible choice with available resources. Will not write an estimate or offer any repairs from this appointment, pre-purchase inspections are to help inform the individual's purchase. Appointments available within a day or two. Call the shop to schedule an appointment.Express ServiceProvides walk-in and low-cost express services (first come, first served) 10 am to 12 noon Fridays. Services include checking and topping off fluids, checking and replacing bulbs/headlights, checking and replacing wiper blades, and testing and replacing the car battery.Immediate NeedPartners with other garages to reduce the wait for simple and immediate car repair needs. Individuals may be eligible for a referral to another repair location for low-cost car repair. Individuals should review the eligibility requirements and if they qualify should complete a referral request form on the website. This program will fix only one immediate need for a repair to keep the individual's car safely on the road until The Lift can do a full inspection.Repairs that are eligible for referral must be experiencing just one of these needs: Brakes (brake light, unable to stop) Radiator and hoses (overheating, coolant leak) Batteries, Alternator (charging system) Power Steering systems (power steering fluid leaks, stiff steering) Suspension (shocks, struts, sway bar links, ball joints and wheel bearings) TiresVehicles/ Repairs NOT eligible for this program (include but are not limited to): Any Diagnosis required Heavy Duty Engine or Transmission repair/ replacement AC systems Body work or Collision Repair Glass workNOTE: This program is meant only to address a specific, urgent repair need and does not include a full vehicle inspection. If individuals are eligible for a referral, they will be offered an upcoming, full-vehicle inspection appointment at The Lift Garage at a later date.
The program is available to blood cancer patients with significant financial need. Those who qualify will receive $500, once within a 6 month period, to cover the cost of treatment-related travel and lodging expenses for the patient and caregiver, including: ground transportation; tolls; gas; parking; car rental; car maintenance, repairs, and parts; air transportation; baggage fees; lodging; and ambulance services.The following expenses are not covered: food and beverages, alcohol, tobacco, clothing, medical/pharmacy expenses, and international travel. Any expense not covered by the program may be subject to audit and may result in loss of award.

Cash-grant program for families with low incomes experiencing household emergencies. Families can receive assistance once every 18 months. The assistance received must resolve the crisis. Families must use their own money first. The amount of assistance provided might not cover the entire emergency, but it can help.Family emergency assistance, for evictions including first month's rent and/or damage deposit; utility disconnect; car repair for employment purposes; foreclosures; and other shelter related expenses, such as moving expenses, mortgage and property taxes.Maximum amount of assistance provided is $99 for shelter and $700 for utilities.
The availability of financial assistance/vouchers varies month by month and may be limited to partial payments depending on the amount owed and funds available. Financial emergency assistance may be available once every 12 months and considered on a case-by-case basis for the following services:- Food vouchers- Furniture vouchers and referrals to Bridging to receive furniture- Gas money vouchers or gift cards are available once every 6 months, depending upon the situation- HeatShare program provides fuel oil, gas, and electric payment assistance to avoid disconnection- Information and referral for eye care and food shelf - Networking support- Other financial assistance for emergencies beyond the individual's control- Pathway of Hope: Mentoring program for families.
