Provides loans, loan guarantees, and grants to individuals and families in order to buy, build, or repair affordable homes located in rural Minnesota. Eligibility for the loans and grants are based on income and varies according to the average median income for each area.

Housing Choice Voucher Program - Section 8 - Rice County Housing and Redevelopment Authority
Designed to assist low-income families with their monthly rent payments. Provides for a rent subsidy to be paid to the owner of a rental unit on behalf of the eligible family. Family will pay approximately 30% of its monthly income for rent, and Rice County Housing and Redevelopment Authority will make up the difference to the approved payment standard. Rent is to include maintenance and utility services.
Note: Only families eligible to receive Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV) assistance are eligible for the homeownership option, must be first-time home buyers, and complete a homeownership counseling program. Call or visit the website for more information.
