Provides civic engagement and public policy solutions in the areas of aging, caregiving, education, governance, workforce, and public safety. Services provided: - Capital Pathways Program: Aims to build a representative democracy through paid policy internships and professional development for college students who identify as Black, Indigenous, or people of color. Provides a paid internship to college students within government, nonprofit, corporate, law, and lobbying organizations that work at or around the State Capitol during the legislation session. - Policy projects that bring individuals with varying viewpoints and perspectives to develop policy solutions to common problems, elevating lived experiences and local expertise - Public events on public policy issues in accessible spaces that highlight community leaders inspiring civic engagement. Current events include the Mind Opener series, partner series such as Interconnected: Rural-Urban Conversations, and the annual Civic Celebration.

Good Neighbor Program: Volunteers work with Police Reserves to patrol neighborhoods and anonymously ask neighbors to be a good neighbor and clean-up. Call to participate in this program or to start a program in a new neighborhood. Housing Code Enforcement: Conducts exterior inspections of owner-occupied single family and duplex housing and commercial property. Rules and procedures are available on the website or by phone. Rental properties are inspected by the Fire Marshal's office. Problem Property Unit: Investigates problem property with the help of the police and City Attorney. Examples of problem property include junky yards, intolerable behavior by occupants and their guests. Truth-In-Sale-of-Housing: Enforces ordinance requiring sellers to provide a disclosure report. Vacant Buildings: Monitors (registered) vacant buildings to minimize and reduce nuisance conditions in the neighborhoods and community.

Lighthouse Network: A block club program designed to nurture community by promoting safety, communication, and connection on each block. Senior Social Club: A bi-monthly gathering for older community members to come together, engage in a shared activity, fellowship, and enjoy snacks.

Provides year-round opportunities to build relationships and strengthen local power through youth and family programming, art and music initiatives, leadership and learning projects, community listening and co-design processes, and celebrations.
