Helps patients pay their bills while they undergo treatment for cancer. Pays essential living expenses (car repair, electricity, heat, medical, mortgage, phone, rent, and water) so patients can focus on getting well. Maximum payment for patients receiving treatment is $1,500/year. Prefers to pay larger bills instead of multiple smaller bills. If a bill exceeds $1,500, the organization will pay $1,500 towards the bill. Financial assistance is provided directly to the creditor, not the individual requesting it.

The program is available to blood cancer patients with significant financial need. Those who qualify will receive $500, once within a 6 month period, to cover the cost of treatment-related travel and lodging expenses for the patient and caregiver, including: ground transportation; tolls; gas; parking; car rental; car maintenance, repairs, and parts; air transportation; baggage fees; lodging; and ambulance services. The following expenses are not covered: food and beverages, alcohol, tobacco, clothing, medical/pharmacy expenses, and international travel. Any expense not covered by the program may be subject to audit and may result in loss of award.

Cancer Financial Assistance Coalition (CFAC): CFAC is a group of organizations that offers financial help and resources. Provides financial assistance for an individual to travel to care for or visit an immediate family member with a serious health condition that arises in emergency circumstances. The acute injury or illness must pose an immediate risk to a person's life or long-term health. Other instances where the fund may be accessed is a medically necessary surgery or 1 post-operation visit. A maximum of $400 in assistance is provided per patient per calendar year which includes: - $.21 per mile traveled ?- $70 per night lodging ?- $40 per day for meals

In partnership with Subaru of America and its retailers, Charlie's Fund, and the Moore Family Charitable Foundation, provide eligible patients with assistance for non-medical expenses, including rent, mortgage, lodging, utilities, childcare, elder care, food, transportation, car repair, car insurance, phone service, and acute dental work related to treatment. Eligible patients will receive a grant of $500, once within a 12 month period. At the end of the 12 month period, healthcare professionals can reapply on behalf of patients.

Open funds include: - The Angel Fund: Supports funeral expenses for patients who have passed away from ARDS, TSS, or Sepsis within the last six months. Once approved, this fund provides a one-time $1,000 grant to cover burial or cremation costs. - Heart Valve Financial Aid Fund: Supports patients diagnosed with a qualifying heart valve condition or disorder who are currently receiving treatment, have received treatment within the last six months, or are starting treatment within 60 days. Once approved, the fund offers a one-time $600 grant to help with out-of-pocket expenses related to transportation, lodging, housing, utilities, and food for heart valve treatments. - LEISHLine Financial Aid Fund: Supports patients diagnosed and treated for Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS), and/or Sepsis within the past six months. Once approved, this fund provides a one-time $1,000 grant to cover transportation, housing, utilities, or food and nutrition needs. - Merkel Cell Carcinoma Financial Aid Fund: Supports patients diagnosed with Merkel Cell Carcinoma (MCC), a rare skin cancer. Once approved, it offers a one-time assistance of $1,000 to cover transportation expenses related to treatment appointments, lodging, and nutritional needs. Eligible patients include those actively undergoing treatment, treated within the last six months, or scheduled to receive treatment within 60 days.
