Advocates for children with special needs by assisting in the creation of an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) that includes supporting parents, educators, and school officials to ensure that each child's unique learning requirements are addressed effectively.
Offers mediation services which help parents and guardians work through disagreements that may arise during the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process. These meetings take place in a neutral location and are designed to promote understanding and cooperation. Services are led by a qualified, impartial mediator who understands special education laws and regulations and promotes respectful, open communication and creative problem-solving in a confidential setting. The process is structured but informal, and held at a location convenient for all parties, which helps parents/guardians, school staff, and agency personnel resolve conflicts.
