Description
Offers mediation services which help parents and guardians work through disagreements that may arise during the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process. These meetings take place in a neutral location and are designed to promote understanding and cooperation. Services are led by a qualified, impartial mediator who understands special education laws and regulations and promotes respectful, open communication and creative problem-solving in a confidential setting. The process is structured but informal, and held at a location convenient for all parties, which helps parents/guardians, school staff, and agency personnel resolve conflicts.
