Applicant must live in Dakota County or the crime they are a victim of should have occurred in Dakota County. Applicant can apply once per crime. Payment is made to the vendor/service provider (i.e. locksmith, mechanic, etc.) directly whenever possible. A check can reimburse the victim only with proof of payment, such as an original receipt. - Assistance with preparation of victim impact statements
