Financial assistance may be provided for past-due rent and other funding programs, such as the Family Homelessness Prevention and Assistance Program (FHPAP), the Local Affordable Housing Aid (LAHA), the Statewide Affordable Housing Aid (SAHA), and other emergency rental assistance.Funding is available to renters facing an eviction for any reason, including those affected by immigration enforcement.There is currently a lifetime cap amount to how much a household can apply for assistance. If funding is not available, Rent Help Hennepin applications are still being accepted through their web portal.NOTE: Households in Hennepin County who meet income guidelines that need rent assistance should apply through the Rent Help Hennepin website and should not be directed to Emergency Assistance (EA)/Emergency General Assistance (EGA).
