The Employment Department of Minnesota Diversified Industries (MDI) is available at all locations and works with each individual to find a match to meet employment goals. Services include:- Career Skills Training: Help individuals build personal and professional development for lifelong career skills- Community Placement Services: The Placement Team works with job seekers and referral sources to find the best employment fit for the individual's skills, abilities, and interests- Job Placement: Offers meaningful work, such as assembling plastic containers, putting together kits for medical companies, and operating packaging equipment- On-the-Job Training: Offers a support team to provide daily coaching, training, goal setting, identify skills/abilities, retain job, and more

Head Start Head Start is a center-based preschool program for children 3-5 years old. ECFE is a parenting education program for all Minnesota families with children between the ages of birth to Kindergarten entrance. Learning opportunities through ECFE may occur in a variety of settings, such as the families' homes, district or community sites, and online parenting education and support. Provides sterile syringes and injection equipment, safe disposal of used needles, free Naloxone (Narcan) kits with overdose education, and other harm reduction supplies. Also connects participants to additional services, including HIV and Hepatitis C testing, and treatment referrals.

Provides an online application to residents who have past due rent in order to help households remain in their current housing situation. Financial assistance may be provided for past-due rent and other funding programs, such as the Family Homelessness Prevention and Assistance Program (FHPAP), the Local Affordable Housing Aid (LAHA), the Statewide Affordable Housing Aid (SAHA), and other emergency rental assistance.Funding is available to renters facing an eviction for any reason, including those affected by immigration enforcement.There is currently a lifetime cap amount to how much a household can apply for assistance. If funding is not available, Rent Help Hennepin applications are still being accepted through their web portal.NOTE: Households in Hennepin County who meet income guidelines that need rent assistance should apply through the Rent Help Hennepin website and should not be directed to Emergency Assistance (EA)/Emergency General Assistance (EGA).

Provides therapeutic care, including:- Case management: Advocates for the child's needs and coordinates care across multiple providers- Crisis stabilization: Offers skill-building and parent support to help children and families through acute challenges.- Intensive home and center-based therapeutic services: Supports families whose children are experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral difficulties and need more intensive services to prevent out-of-home placement- Outreach: Consultative support for parents, caregivers, and teachers when emotional, behavioral, or developmental concerns arise

Provides assistance with paying childcare costs for children up to age 12 and for children with special needs up to age 14 years. Childcare costs may be paid for families while parents work, look for work, or attend school. Family size, family income, and participation in authorized activities, as well as available funding are considerations in determining the amount of the assistance.

Emergency fund to provide clothing, eyeglasses, prescription drugs, and materials for class projects.

A nine-bed adult residential crisis stabilization unit that provides a short-term safe place for individuals to stay while working through a mental health crisis. The unit is staffed 24 hours/7 days a week and offers counseling and education to clients in managing their mental health symptoms. All admissions are voluntary and based on bed availability.
