Hennepin County residents who are experiencing homelessness can receive housing case management assistance through the Homeless to Housing program. The primary focus of the Homeless to Housing team is to fill system gaps by offering case management to people who otherwise lack support and access to resources by helping them secure permanent housing. The Homeless to Housing teams can help single adults, families, youth, and veterans who are staying in shelter or those living unsheltered with the following: 1. Referral 2. Intake 3. Staff provide an immediate assessment of emergency needs and offer resources to help deal with homelessness, chemical dependency, domestic abuse, unemployment, gambling addictions, mental health problems, and help with public assistance. Additional services offered at the center include: - 7 bus passes for the general public daily; usually gone by 9:10 am. Can be accessed twice per month and an intake form must be filled out. - Free telephone line, mailboxes for people who are homeless, hygiene items, and household goods - Safe Bay is located in the parking lot and offers individuals and families living in cars and vans a place to rest without fear of crime, harassment, or being moved along by law enforcement or private security guards. Individuals and families can access showers, breakfast and housing navigation services provided by Daminao Center. - Work related transportation: - Gas vouchers: MUST have valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and proof of employment. Can only be accessed once per year. - Bus pass: MUST have ID and proof of employment. The value of a bus pass is $25 and can only be accessed once per year.

Village of Hope provides safe, secure emergency housing for families 24 hours/day ~ 7 days a week. We are open 365 days a year. The environment that a family experiencing homeless comes into is very important. We work to create a calm, safe environment in which families can build a future. Families can stay with us for 90 days, as long as they are actively looking for housing. Each family has their own apartment. Shelter guests receive Case Management and Housing Resource Navigation services during their 30-90 day stay. SOS operates a Day Center with laundry, showers, a communal kitchen, hygiene items, and more. SOS also operates two Permanent Supportive Housing programs for people living with disabilities who are also experiencing homelessness.
