Artful Aging Residencies: Structured programs led by COMPAS artists who have received additional training to work with older adults. Participants learn new creative skills and produce original work in art forms such as: - Dance - Music - Theater - Visual Art - Writing Each residency begins with an artist meet and greet session and ends with a community celebration showcasing participant accomplishments. The standard format includes: - One planning session with site staff prior to the start of the residency - One meet and greet session - Eight or more artist-led sessions, each lasting 90 minutes to 2 hours Sessions are typically held weekly but can be customized based on the needs of the hosting organization. Residencies can be structured as a camp or a series of classes. Artful Aging Samplers: Standalone or short series workshops led by COMPAS-certified Artful Aging artists. Each session lasts approximately two hours and features a project designed to be completed within that timeframe.
