Clients may require 24-hour nursing care and medical management for seizure and withdrawal symptoms. The unit is locked for patient safety and to provide care for clients on a 72-hour basis. Average stay is 5 - 10 days. - Outpatient Programs: Day outpatient, evening outpatient, relapse prevention programs (for those who have had prior treatment), and outpatient group care. Intensive and highly structured. Clients are also encouraged to attend 12-step meetings and become acquainted with recovery philosophies. Weekly attendance for 2 hours of continuous care may be recommended for up to 12 weeks after completion of a primary care program.
