Group Exercise Classes: Members can attend a variety of free fitness classes, including cardio and strength, dance, strength, yoga and pilates, ForeverWell, Kids and Family, and water exercise. Note: Not all classes are offered at all locations. Personal Training and Assessments: Rates for members and non-members. Members can receive a free one-on-one 60-minute assessment session with a certified personal trainer. Elder Care: Provides specific programs and services to support older adults age 55 and older, including in-person activities and free classes. - ForeverWell: Provides members with wellness activities for older adults age 55 and older including virtually online or in-person options. Must be a member for the virtual online activities. Also provides wellness checks for senior ForeverWell members. The George Wellbeing programs offer guidance, virtually or one-on-one in a group setting, with a board-certified coach, to help participants navigate healthy choices. Adult Sports Leagues: Provides team, doubles, and individuals sport activities. Opportunities for members and non-members. Kids Sports: Provides year-round activities and program for kids of all ages and skill levels, including youth sports leagues and classes, summer sports, Homeschool Physical Education, and adult sports leagues. Members and non-members are welcome to participate. Offers youth with disabilities age 8 and up opportunities to participate in the Blazing Stars Special Olympics Team. The Young Athletes program introduces children ages 2 to 7 with and without intellectual disabilities to the world of sports. Orthology: Provides physical therapy and chiropractic services Kids and Families: Provides exercises classes, adventure racing, free child care while members work out, Parents Night Out provides child care for an evening out, family friendly fitness centers, and youth and family fitness cards that outlines an entire workout from warm-ups to cool down stretches. Journey to Freedom: Provides an 8 week session where participants meet in small-group discussions, read, reflect, find support, and heal. The goal of the program is to build community and support successful life change in a safe place. Specialty series include Freedom from Body Image and Food Issues, Freedom from Low Self-Esteem, Freedom from the Pain of Grief and Disappointment, and Freedom from Fear. Condition Specific Programs: Include tailored health and fitness programs for people with health conditions including Parkinson's disease and pre-diabetes. Water Safety Program: Provides reduced cost water safety instruction for kids ages 5 - 14 and swimming lessons for ages 6 months to adult. Offers parent and child, school-age children, preschool children, and teen and adult swimming lessons and water safety instruction. Member and non-member rates available. Provides trainings and certifications for lifeguard training, CPR and first aid, babysitting safety, safety training for coaches and instructor level training. The workshop program engages students creatively through a variety of theatre-based activities focused on using body, voice, and imagination to create exciting characters and tell fantastic stories. From improv to playwriting, drama workshops are designed to build confidence, communication, and social-emotional skills in addition to identity exploration through the tools of theatre. Designed for elementary and middle school-aged students, we teach drama workshops at and in partnership with various community organizations such as KIDSTOP, Promise Neighborhood, Too Much Talent, D Blake Center, Youthset, etc.

Programs: - Academic success: Goal is for every member to graduate on time with a plan for their future, whether that plan is post-secondary or a career. Defensive driving course for 55 years or older drivers - This is an 8 hour program and there are no examinations - Completion of the course will qualify you for less expensive automobile insurance rates. Classes are often held through local Community Education offices and Senior Citizen Centers. Persons can call each of these agencies for information about possible upcoming classes - Registration for these classes are held through the Community Education District #318. - Refresher classes and one 8 hour beginner class in Grand Rapids - Classes in Cohasset every month; one 8 hour and one 4 hour - Classes in Deer River through Community Education - Classes in Hill City through Community Education - Classes in Coleraine through Community Education - Classes in Bigfork through the "Over 50 Club" - There are many contact places for Driver Safety Program classes. These classes give the participants a 10% reduction on car insurance, plus keep them up to date on driving rules and driving problems. There are two classes; first an eight hour beginning classs (two 4 hour sessions); secondly after 3 years a 4 hour refresher class. All classes have a fee of $12.00 AARP Members and $14.00 non-members
