ECFE is a parenting education program for all Minnesota families with children between the ages of birth to Kindergarten entrance. Learning opportunities through ECFE may occur in a variety of settings, such as the families' homes, district or community sites, and online parenting education and support. Programming and education services often include parents/caregivers and children but may just include parents/caregivers. ECFE works to strengthen families and engage the ability of all parents to provide an environment that supports the healthy development of their child. Services may include: - Book lending library - Dad and child programs - Early childhood screening for children ages 3 - 5 - Information on community resources - Outdoor classroom - Parent-child activities - Parent discussion groups - Play and learn activities for children - Programs for non-English language learners - School readiness program for children age 3 1/2 - 4 - Special events for the entire family - Workshops on specific topics NOTE: Call for current class offerings and schedule of events.

Providing extended day care for school-aged children. KidKare is a school-based childcare program for children ages 3 -12. Sites are located in Buffalo at the Discovery Center and Northwinds Elementary, Hanover Elementary, and Montrose Elementary. The Discovery Center site serves Discovery Elementary, Parkside Elementary, and Tatanka Elementary students.

Extended day care for school age children

Licensed childcare available 24 hours/7 days a week for up to 10 hours of care, for ages infant - 12 years, which provides non-standard hours care in a safe environment. Transportation is provided at an additional cost. Not a crisis nursery. Accredited with parent support, advocacy, and empowerment programs. Summer violence prevention leadership program for pre-K through 6th grades available from June - August.

Offers after-school learning during the school year in a quality enrichment-based program. Provides kids an opportunity to engage in fun activities, stay active, and socialize with friends. Activities include games and sports, fitness, character development, homework help, service-learning, special projects, and more. Children will receive individual attention and develop skills in specific areas before parents pick them up after work.

Provides quality childcare for elementary age children after school and in the summer until 5:45 pm Kids & Company/Summer KidsKids & CompanyKids & Company is an after school program for students in Kindergarten - 5th grades that need a safe, supervised place after school (until 6:00pm). Our program operates each school day at Bemidji Elementary Schools (Gene Dillon, Horace May, Lincoln, Northern and Solway). Rates: $10/day for Full-Time, $11/day for Part-Time (1-4 set days a week) Summer KidsSummer Kids is an all day child care program for students entering 1st - 5th grades. We are located at Bemidji Middle School and the program runs 7:30am - 6:00pm, June 16th, 2025-August 8, 2025. Rates: $30/day for Full Time, $33/day for Part time (1-4 set days a week) **Please note: If your child attends the Summer Learning Program, and needs care after that program ends at 4:30pm, you will need to register them separately for Summer Learning After Care.

Cobra Care is an age 4 to school-age child care program administered by the Community Education Department of the Triton School District.
