Food Support recipients may be required to participate in the Food Stamp Employment and Training (FSET) program. Each participant is first provided with an orientation to program services followed by an individual assessment and completion of an employability plan. Depending on the individual's needs, they may take part in job seeking training, group and individual job search activities, remedial literacy or other adult basic education, English language training, short-term vocational or technical training, job placement, and assistance with transportation or other supportive services. Participants who fail to comply with program requirements are subject to sanctions and could temporarily or permanently lose food benefits.

Services provided: - Clothing: Offers general clothing items limited to 10 items per family member per month - Dental Clinic: Open to individuals without dental insurance. Services provided include extractions/pulling teeth and fillings for cavities. Services are prioritized by the level of pain patients are experiencing. - Diapers: Offers free diapers on an appointment basis - Food: Offers individuals food once a month in partnership with Salvation Army. Accepts food donation items such as pancake mix/syrup, spaghetti noodles/sauce, soups, bags of sugar four pounds or larger, canned fruit, canned vegetables, cereal, cooking oil, macaroni and cheese, small bags/boxes of rice, tuna, canned chicken, Helper Meals, peanut butter, jelly, beans - baked (in cans) and pinto (in bags). - Furniture Requests: Offers furniture and takes requests for furniture throughout the year - Resource Center: Assists people to apply for county services such as public assistance, energy assistance, and MNsure. Also helps individuals with resumes and searching for a job NOTE: Other donations accepted are houseware items, glassware, pots, pans, kitchen and table linens, silverware, personal hygiene items, laundry detergent, toiletries, limited pieces of small/large furniture items (sofas, love seats, tables, chairs, dressers, mattresses/box springs, metal bed frames, and tables).

Offers the following services: - Class A Commercial Driver's License Program: Helps participants earn a CDL for free by providing a training coach. Provides an immersive and hands-on training program held at the Interstate Truck Driving School. - Four Cornerstones of Financial Wellness: Provides classes that help participants increase financial management skills and learn to navigate financial systems. Classes include: budgeting to create savings, asset building and debt reduction, building a good credit report, and consumer protection and financial institutions. - Healthcare Career Pathways: Helps participants build skills, reach career goals, and obtain proper certifications and licenses. Provides a training coach that prepares participants for college-level classes, connections to employers, and builds professional skills and networks. Courses offered include English for Industry, Nursing Assistant, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, and Nursing Assistant Refresher. - Re-Entry Services: Provides adults recently paroled or released an opportunity to gain proper credentials in trainings such as Class A Commercial Driver's License. In addition to job training and career planning, participants will have access to transportation assistance and financial coaching. - Welding and CNC Machining: Offers participants that have completed Manufacturing Foundations, the opportunity to pursue advanced manufacturing programs at Hennepin Technical College that includes 7 - 10 month certificates in Gas Metal Arc Welding or CNC Machining. Program also prepares participants an opportunity to continue their education and earn an associate's degree in a skilled trade.
