Lists nursing assistants who have met Minnesota training and testing standards to work in nursing homes and certified boarding care homes. The registry also has information about nursing assistants who have substantiated findings of abuse, neglect, and theft. This is not an online registry. Instead, nursing assistants, employers, and others can check the registry by using the department's automated phone system (the nursing assistant's social security number is required.)

Provides or arranges support for elder neighbors to assist them in living at home as long as possible. This support, which may otherwise not be available, uses the program's small staff, volunteers and/or paid nursing staff. Services include: - Caregiver coaching and support groups - Community Gardening - Door-to-door transportation, both assisted and non-assisted, provided by volunteers. There is no charge, but donations are accepted. Accessible vehicles can be requested. - Elders resource list of meal and grocery delivery, handyman services, modifications, etc. available by phone or Internet - Exercise classes - Friendly visiting - Health education classes and events - In-home eldercare assessment and resource recommendation - In-home Internet/computer tutorial - Linkage to county services - Nursing referrals - Phone visiting - Respite care - Seasonal raking and snow shoveling - Shopping assistance up to twice a month - Spring/Fall yard clean-ups - Volunteer opportunities
