Special Education Services - Hiawatha Valley Education District

Hiawatha Valley Education District offers supportive services for students and staff at participating schools. Services include: assistive technology, in-school therapy services, school psychologists, a Spanish interpreter/cultural liaison, and special education coordinators. In addition the agency can provide teachers for students with hearing or visual impairments. An audiologist is also available. HVED also provides alternative teaching methods for students with learning of behavior difficulties. The agency can provide special education assessment and consultation services for school staff regarding students and also provides workshops and seminars for school staff focused on meeting the needs of students with special needs in the school system.
