Vouchers for clothing (single adults only), bedding and kitchen items. Household: Furniture is not free. Vouchers are given to assist clients in the purchase of furniture at a discount price at the Salvation Army Thrift Stores. Clients must verify they have recently left a shelter, or that they have a new living situation or other crisis situation through a case worker, pastor, school social worker, landlord, etc. Vouchers are capped at $100 per family and can not be used for beds. Transportation: Clients can qualify for tokens or a bus card in one of two ways. The caseworker must be able to verify by telephone that the client has a permanent job for which they have not received their first paycheck or a permanent job interview or has a medical appointment. Hygiene: Items such as shampoo, soap and toothpaste are available. Clients are eligible once every two months.
