The weatherization process begins with an energy audit where trained staff will assess and document the energy conservation needs of the home. Energy Auditors will:- Check insulation levels in attic and walls- Inspect attic for air bypasses- Measure home for heat loss- Perform a safety and efficiency test on the heating system and water heater- Provide home energy education- Provide recommendations for repair, replacement, or improvements of the heating and mechanical systems when necessary

Provides Resources for Enhancing Alzheimer's Caregiver Health (REACH). This program is an approach used by caregiver consultants to support family members and others who are caring for someone with Alzhiemer's disease or a related dementia. The goals are to teach caregivers how to reduce stress, solve problems, and manage difficult behaviors the person with memory loss may display; as well as to help caregivers feel confident in the care they provide and improve their ability to cope. After the caregiver completes the REACH assessment, 4 core sessions are offered and tailored to what the caregiver most needs. The caregiver consultant holds the sessions in person (though alternative service options may be available via phone) typically over 2 - 3 months.

The person receiving services and the team mutually agree upon individualized treatment goals and interventions, with short-term strategic interventions intended to stabilize symptoms and prevent or shorten hospital stays, avoid commitment to long-term hospitalization, and prevent the loss of employment, housing, and personal relationships. Year round camp and retreat center in northern Minnesota for troubled youth middle school through high school. Year round they can enjoy rustic/modern log cabins, a beautiful log lodge and excellent food all structured for kids. Their spiritual perspective can begin to change after hearing short fireside discussions. Kids 14 and older can join a Timber Bay WorkCrew. They build cabins, shovel snow, landscape, and cut firewood. Working at Timber Bay builds in them a sense of ownership, caring, contribution, and accomplishment. "The camp that comes home with the kids." When a youth needs compassion, support in crises, or emotional shelter from an abusive home, after they leave the camp, staff can be there to help.
