Kids Connection is a school-age child care option for parents- Provides opportunities to learn with children of other grade levels; homework help is also offered- Non-school day care and summer care (contract for service required)- Drop-ins during the school year are on a first-come, first-serve basis

Patients who need to speak with a financial counselor, need cost of care estimates, or determine if they may qualify for financial assistance to pay for procedures, may reach out about options. Financial counselors can help individuals understand what patients' responsibilities will be, and may offer no-interest payment plans. Other options may include:- Discount Program: Individuals who are uninsured or underinsured and have incomes less than 250% of the Federal Poverty Guideline may be eligible for help to pay their medical bills- Elevate Patient Financial Solutions: Help patients without medical insurance find resources to help pay for medical bills

Provides assistance to older adults to help them live independently in the community. Services provided by advocates include:- Assistance with paperwork (i.e. medical claims, benefit applications, patient assistance programs, etc.) and with money management.- Home visits to assess needs- Information and referrals for housing, employment, Medicare and supplemental insurances, other government benefits, and transportation servicesAll services are free and confidential.??

Provides food to those in need

Emergency services available in the form of goods, clothing, food, shelter, etc. in the cases of natural disaster, fire, flooding, etc. Salvation Army Canteen available for emergency assistance also. A private, non-profit organization serving Itasca County. (Requests from outside of the county will not necessarily be denied) The purpose of Salvation Army is to provide moral and spiritual support, material goods, food, shelter, and transportation for those unable to provide for themselves. Every situation is reviewed individually. Conditions of service: - Will maintain anonymity and confidentiality - Will require name, address and Social Security number in order to provide ANY services - If a person doesn't have a Social Security card, a driver's license may be acceptable. The Child Support Division assists with:- Adjusting court orders based on the cost-of-living index- Collecting and processing payments- Establishing parentage- Establishing and enforcing court orders for child support, medical support, and child care support- Locating parents- Reviewing and modifying court orders for support- Works with other states to enforce support when one parent does not live in MinnesotaMinnesota Child Support Online: an interactive website developed by the State of Minnesota to provide child support participants with information about their case(s).NOTE: Either parent of a child may get certain child support services. Parents who do not receive public assistance can apply for services at their county child support office for a one-time $25 service fee. Parents who receive public assistance for a child whose other parent does not live with them are automatically referred for services and are not charged a service fee.

Medicare Savings Programs have four sub-programs:- Qualified Disabled and Working Individuals (QDWI): Helps pay for Part A premiums only. Monthly income limits for individuals and married couples apply.- Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB): Helps pay for Part A and B premiums as well as deductibles, coinsurance and copayments. Monthly income limits for individuals and married couples apply.- Qualifying Individual (QI): Helps pay for Part B premiums only. Monthly income limits for individuals and married couples apply.- Specified Low-Income Medicare Beneficiary (SLMB): Helps pay for Part B premiums only. Monthly income limits and countable resource limits apply for individuals and married couples.Monthly income and countable resource limits apply. Countable resources include any checking or savings funds, stocks, and bonds. A home, one car, a burial plot, $1500 in burial expenses (if the amount is set aside), furniture, and other household items are not applied toward the resource limit. Participants pay for Medicare services that aren't covered, such as routine physicals and prescription drugs.Generally under these programs, premiums are put back into the monthly Social Security check, increasing participants' monthly income.

Provides companionship services to isolated, home-bound seniors. Services may include assistance with errands, grocery shopping or transportation to appointments, assisting with correspondence or simple household tasks, share an interest or hobby, lunch outings or enjoying a walk. Provides volunteer opportunities for adults 55 years plus who would like to help others remain independent in their own homes. Clients receive:- Companionship and visiting to the isolated elderly clients- Assistance in personal needs such as shopping, medical appointments, letter writing, socialization- Respite care for caregivers. Senior Companions serve 15 - 20 hours a week and receive a tax free stipend plus transportation allowance.
