Provides vouchers and referrals to meet a variety of needs for people who are struggling. Before a voucher is given an in-depth conversation will take place between the individual and staff to determine individual's circumstances. Vouchers may be issued for the items listed below.- Clothing vouchers may be issued for the Winona Volunteer Services Clothes Shop. If specific employment-related clothing is required a voucher may be issued to Rogan's or another local entity - Diapers voucher may be issued for parents/guardians experiencing unexpected financial difficulty - Formula vouchers may be issued, but a referral from WIC is required - Vouchers may be issued for individuals needing cooking supplies - ID replacement financial assistance may be available for individuals needing ID to gain employment, but a referral from Careerforce Center is required - Miscellaneous emergency needs financial assistance may be provided when no other assistance is available - Please note that utility assistance is not available through Winona Volunteer Services and that basic assistance via vouchers is available via Law Enforcement at 201 West 3rd Street at night and on weekends.

Case Managers support caregivers in identifying appropriate resources, navigating insurance, working with schools, and connecting with community programs. The focus is on creating a manageable plan and ensuring services are aligned across providers and settings.- Family Place Therapeutic Day Treatment: Provides a preschool day treatment setting for young children with emotional and behavioral challenges. The program uses trauma informed, relationship based practices to support children in a small classroom with structured routines, play, and social activities. Some classrooms also include speech and occupational therapy. Families take part in regular sessions to support skill development at home. The program focuses on identifying needs, building new skills, and strengthening parent child relationships.- Outpatient Mental Health: Offers virtual and in person therapy for children and caregivers. Licensed clinicians provide individual therapy, family therapy, and consultation for a range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns. Caregivers are involved throughout the process to support progress outside of sessions. The program serves children experiencing stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, medical concerns, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental needs.- School Based Mental Health: Provides therapy and support services for preschool and elementary aged children in school, child care, and home settings. Staff observe children in their daily environments, collaborate with teachers, provide individual and family psychotherapy, and connect families to community resources. Caregivers are involved throughout to promote consistent support across settings.

Medicare Savings Programs have four sub-programs:- Qualified Disabled and Working Individuals (QDWI): Helps pay for Part A premiums only.- Qualifying Individual (QI): Helps pay for Part B premiums only.- Specified Low-Income Medicare Beneficiary (SLMB): Helps pay for Part B premiums only.- Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB): Helps pay for Part A and B premiums as well as deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments.Monthly income and countable resource limits apply. Countable resources include any checking or savings funds, stocks, and bonds. A home, one car, a burial plot, $1500 in burial expenses (if the amount is set aside), furniture, and other household items are not applied toward the resource limit. Participants pay for Medicare services that aren't covered, such as routine physicals and prescription drugs.Generally under these programs, premiums are put back into the monthly Social Security check, increasing participants' monthly income.

Other options may include:Charity Care/Financial Assistance: Intended to assist those low-income, underinsured, and/or uninsured individuals who cannot otherwise pay full charges as determined under the hospital's qualification criteria. It should take into account each individual's ability to contribute to the cost of his or her care.Good Faith Estimate: Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. This service is for those who receive a bill that is at least $400 more than the Good Faith Estimate.

Leaders are certified Arthritis Foundation instructors.Living Well with Chronic Conditions:A 6-session class to help people cope with chronic conditions; lead by 2 trained leaders. Various locations and trainers available through out the region.Matter of Balance:A class to learn about falls prevention that meets 8 times and is lead by 2 trainers, one whom is a volunteer.PEARLS:A community-based treatment program for older adults with depression. A PEARLS coach will meet with the person for eight, one hour sessions that are customized to support them and their needs. Learn how to problem solve and change their behavior to support their well-being.Powerful Tools for Caregivers:A 6 week class for caregivers to enable them to provide care for a loved one longer and with more confidence and control. Class is lead by 2 trainers and is available in various locations throughout the year.Tai Ji Quan:Moving for Better Balance helps older adults improve their balance and reduce the likelihood of falling. Research has shown that participants are half as likely to fall and are less fearful of falling. Participants typically have improved physical health that leads to better functioning in daily activities, improved balance, muscle strength, flexibility and mobility, and better mental health.Classes beginning in some areas in 2015.
