Assists the community by preparing for, responding to, and recovering from natural and man-made disasters. Services include coordination with agencies to deliver critical support, such as emergency response and hazard mitigation, ensuring recovery and resilience, disaster prevention planning, public education, and training.Volunteer opportunities are available to help respond to disasters, provide public education, and offer recovery services.

Transitional and permanent supportive housing for homeless families with children. Services include:- Case management and advocacy- Job readiness, placement and retention services- Life skills training (budgeting, parenting, etc.)- Tutoring for children and adult students

Helps individuals and families with low incomes (including temporary low incomes) get the food they need for nutritious and well-balanced meals. Provides extra support to help stretch a household's food budget - it is not meant to cover all the groceries a family needs.Monthly benefits are loaded on an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, which looks and works like a debit card. The card can be used to buy groceries at authorized stores, farmers markets, and online retailers. SNAP E&T participants gain support, skills, training, or experience to reach their goals. Many organizations, county agencies, tribes, and CareerForce Centers provide SNAP E&T programs and services. Programs can include career planning, job search, training for in-demand jobs, student support, financial support, and continued support once a participant has a job.

Provides triage services for situations as needed and reviews county case information. Services include:- Assistance with housing and basic needs- Community Collaborative Fund: Initial assessment for households at risk of homelessness. Individuals must have been denied by the Saint Louis County EGA or EA program, or have already used EGA/EA within the last 18 months. ESG (Emergency Solutions Grant) funds are determined to be used for rent, rental deposit, mortgage, or utilities. NOTE: There is currently no funding at this time.- Forms and certificate assistance for county programs such as SNAP, WIC, EGA/EA, GA, child care assistance, MFIP, Minnesota Supplemental Aid, or Housing Support. Also, follow up with issues regarding MNsure applications.- Referrals to community services, mental health, and chemical dependency services outside of Saint Louis County

Provides free tax preparation to individuals and families who are low-income.A major goal of the project is to assist people in accessing the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).Families that earn less than $60,000 and individuals that earn less than $30,000 are eligible to have free tax preparation and e-file their Federal, State, rent rebates, and property taxes.

Services are generally provided in the home or community, based on the individual's needs and preferences.
