Provides children's mental health services to children living with a significant emotional and/or behavioral need. Services include:- Assistance in assessing and evaluating the concerns- Assisting families in navigating the mental health system and coordinating services to meet the unique needs of the child- Developing independent living skills- Diagnostic assessment and therapeutic services such as individual, group, and family therapy services- Psychiatric case management- Referral to community health agencies for medication monitoring services, locating leisure and recreational activities, crisis assistance, crisis respite care, financial assistance services, education planning, in-home therapy, and parenting support

The assessment helps determine public programs that might pay for an individual's long-term services and supports or help them learn about other options if they don't qualify for publicly funded programs. It is required to determine eligibility for:Community First Services and Supports - CFSS (formerly known as Personal Care Assistance - PCA)Home and Community-Based Services Waivers based on age:- Individuals Over 65 Years Old: Alternative Care (AC); Elderly Waiver (EW)- Individuals Under 65 Years Old: Brain Injury Waiver (BI); Community Access for Disability Inclusion Waiver (CADI); Community Alternative Care Waiver (CAC)Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) Services (also known as Rule 185 Case Management)Family, friends, or others can attend the assessment. The assessment is in person at the individual's home or at a place of their choice, and it lasts about two hours.

Provides advanced planning for potential disasters to facilitate a rapid and effective response and recovery when a disaster occurs. Services may include:- Addressing health and medical needs during a disaster- Assist with post-disaster recovery services- Plan development for response and recovery- Training and practice drills

Trained volunteers provide blood pressure screenings in communities throughout Cass County. Public health nurses are available for follow-up and educational services Cholesterol Screenings. Provides police services and crime prevention efforts in Waite Park

Case managers work with a variety of adults including those with traumatic brain injuries, intellectual disabilities, or mental illnesses. With all participants a support plan is developed and implemented. Assistance is provided in completing assessments, arranging services, monitoring services, and consulting and advocating on behalf of individuals.

Works with low-income, unemployed, or underemployed job seekers who would like to earn a livable income and attain their financial and educational goals through achieving full time work.Adult Employment: Provides resources, training, and skill-building including coaching, career exploration, and retention counseling

ECFE is a parenting education program for all Minnesota families with children between the ages of birth to Kindergarten entrance. Learning opportunities through ECFE may occur in a variety of settings, such as the families' homes, district or community sites, and online parenting education and support. Provides the following environmental services:- Dump Bin Rental: Bins are rented out to individual homes and programs that are within the reservation boundaries- Solid Waste Program/Curbside Program: Pick up of garbage and recyclables

Referral number for adult basic education classes, like English (ESL), GED, citizenship, and computers. Classes are available at Open Door Learning Center locations in Minneapolis and Saint Paul.Computer Classes available at the Open Door location in Midway.

Beverage cart - Serves complimentary refreshments to patients' family members and visitors.Canine Companion - Certified therapy dogs, with their handlers, visit patients and their families offering comfort and companionship. Canine Companion teams must be certified through a nationally-accredited therapy dog organization.Clinic Check-In Assistant - Helps patients and their families find appointment locations, understand any safety protocols that may be in place, guide patients through the virtual check-in at our lobby kiosk, and assist patients in, out, and around the facility. This may include pushing a wheelchair.Gift Box (gift shop) - Welcomes guests who are visiting or staying at the hospital, and assist in gift shop operations including stocking shelves, assisting customers to find the perfect gift, and working the cash register.Greeter - Assists patients/family members/visitors navigate OMC's patient care building. This position may require pushing a wheelchair.Music Enrichment - Provides gentle and relaxing music* to patients, visitors, and staff.Sewing and Crafts - Creates comfort items including blankets, newborn holiday stockings, tummy pillows, hats, and other projects for patients.Special Events - Assists during special events that are either hosted by OMC or attended by OMC staff and/or the Volunteer Coordinator. These events can include holiday and cultural festivals, community celebrations, volunteer recruitment, back to school events and more. Volunteers will speak to attendees about OMC and pass out logoed items.Spirituality Volunteers - Offers spiritual support to patients, family members, caregivers, staff, and others. Certified clergy or lay persons may provide visits. Spiritual care services include, but are not limited to, communion, companionship, spiritual counseling, last rites, prayer, and baptism.
