ECFE is a parenting education program for all Minnesota families with children between the ages of birth to Kindergarten entrance. Learning opportunities through ECFE may occur in a variety of settings, such as the families' homes, district or community sites, and online parenting education and support. Programming and education services often include parents/caregivers and children but may just include parents/caregivers.Services may include:- Book and toy lending library- Dad and child programs- Early childhood screening for children ages 3 - 5- Home visits- Information on community resources- Parent discussion groups- Parent-child activities- Play and learn activities for children- Programs for non-English language learners- School readiness program for children ages 3 1/2 - 4- Single parent program- Special events for the entire family- Workshops on specific topicsNOTE: Call for current class offerings and schedule of events

Direct Access allows an individual to go directly to a provider they choose to receive a comprehensive assessment and access care immediately. Partners with eight school districts and other community organizations in the northern metro area to offer adult basic education. Services provided:- Assistance in preparing for the GED examination is available at Anoka Technical College, Blaine Learning Center, Elk River ABE, and Saint Francis ABE- Brush-up instruction in reading, writing, and math is available at all sites except Anoka-Ramsey Community College, Centennial Adult Continuing Education, and Brooklyn Center ABE- Credit Recovery Diploma available at Blaine Learning Lab and Elk River ABE- English as a Second Language class for foreign-born adults is available at all sites except Anoka-Ramsey Community College and Anoka Technical College- GED Testing Centers are located at the Anoka Technical College and the Blaine Learning Lab site- Minnesota State Diploma available at the Blaine Learning Lab and Elk River Community Education Center sites

The assistance received must resolve the crisis. Adults must use their own money first. The amount of assistance provided might not cover the entire emergency, but it can help.Short-term grant assistance for individuals in a financial crisis because of:- In situations of threat of eviction from a landlord/management or homelessness as a result of domestic abuse, rent and/or rental deposit assistance is provided. Mortgage payment assistance is not considered unless the individual is in foreclosure or experiencing difficulty from an employment crisis.- In situations of utility (electricity, fuel oil, natural gas, propane, sewer, or water) shut-off and refusal of service for fuel, deposit and payment assistance is provided

A free service which teaches cancer patients hands-on cosmetic techniques to help them cope with appearance - related to side effects from chemotherapy and radiation treatments, provided by certified/trained cosmotologists. Group classes and one-on-one services are available. Registration necessary.
