Helps individuals and families with low incomes (including temporary low incomes) get the food they need for nutritious and well-balanced meals. Provides extra support to help stretch a household's food budget - it is not meant to cover all the groceries a family needs.Monthly benefits are loaded on an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, which looks and works like a debt card. The card can only be used to buy groceries at authorized stores, farmers markets, and online retailers. The Child Support Division assists with:- Locating parents- Establishing parentage- Establishing and enforcing court orders for child support, medical support, and child care support- Reviewing and modifying court orders for support- Adjusting court orders based on the cost-of-living index- Works with other states to enforce support when one parent does not live in Minnesota- Collecting and processing paymentsMinnesota Child Support Online: an interactive website developed by the State of Minnesota to provide child support participants with information about their case(s).NOTE: Either parent of a child may get certain child support services. Parents who do not receive public assistance can apply for services at their county child support office for a one-time $25 service fee. Public meeting rooms are available for community groups. Entrance or admission fees, and the marketing or selling of goods or services for profit, are prohibited. All meetings must be open to the public and may not be restricted to a particular group.

Provides assistance to individuals in the home or has in-home safety concerns to help with daily living activities and personal care. Services include:- Additional support and education to care for a high-risk newborn, or patient of any age, whose needs are great- Assistance transitioning from hospital to home- Bathing, housekeeping, shopping, or meal preparation- Dressing changes, wound care, or overall assessments- Home health care- Hospice care- Medication management- Occupational therapy to address access and safety concerns in the home- Physical therapy- Speech therapy when needed for recovery from a stroke

Social workers provide services to preserve Native American families and avoid children being placed out of the home. Services include: - Case management- Child protection services to protect Native American children- Court system advocacy to assist counties serving Native American children who have been victims of abuse and/or neglect and assist the court in understanding the unique characteristic of Indian clients- Crisis intervention- Families First and Prevention Services: Short-term 4-6 weeks intensive crisis intervention and family education services to preserve Indian families. Provides parenting education, problem-solving skills, communication and negotiation skills, child development training, job-readiness training, and parenting classes- Out of home placement supervision- Stay Program: Support group for independent living skills development for youth ages 14 - 21 such as group education and recreational activities to learn about healthy lifestyles- Referral services to local community social service agencies

Provides services to victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, dating violence, elder abuse, trafficking, and general crime who are native and non-native women, men, and youth who live on or near the White Earth Reservation. Services provided include:- 24 hours/7 days a week crisis line support for victims- Assistance with orders for protection, harassment restraining orders, safety planning, victim impact statements, and applying for Minnesota reparations claims for survivors- Child advocacy center- Community outreach- Court, trial, and sentencing accompaniment and support- Direct services such as crisis intervention, advocacy, transportation, empowerment sessions, and information and referral of resources- Information on elder abuse, community outreach, and education- Safe harbor for youth who engage in prostitution- Shelter access and safe housing

Helps women and men who have been the primary caretaker at home and lost their primary income, suddenly needed to provide for their family. Helps participants find worthwhile employment and livable wage jobs to support their families.Services include personal assessments, individual counseling, education and training, job search and placement support, networking and support, and other short-term assistance.
