Individuals fill out a questionnaire. Answers are reviewed by an Essentia provider who will make a diagnosis and create a care plan. Prescriptions may be provided. Individuals are also given a phone number to call if they have questions or concerns. The process usually takes 60 minutes or less.Conditions Treated Allergy symptoms, like sneezing, runny nose or eye irritation Bug bites, including tick bites Colds Eye infections, such as conjunctivitis (pink eye) Irritable bowel syndrome Low back pain Mouth sores, including canker sores Skin conditions, including Acne Dermatitis Diaper rash Eczema Mild burns Shingles Tinea infections, also called ringworm Tobacco use Upper respiration infections, including sinus infections or influenza Urinary tract infections (UTIs) in women Vaginal yeast infections StyeCOVID-19 screening is also provided.

Members who do not receive health care through a health plan receive care on a fee-for-service basis, with providers billing the state directly for services they provide.MA pays for a variety of services like doctor visits, prescriptions, and hospital stays. Some services and prescriptions may require prior approval. MA pays for medical bills going back three months from the month the application is received.NOTE: People with disabilities who work, even if they're over the income or asset limits of MA, may still qualify for a program called Medical Assistance for Employed Persons with Disabilities - MA-EPD.

Cash-grant program for adults with low incomes experiencing a household emergency. Adults can receive assistance once every 12 months. The assistance received must resolve the crisis. Adults must use their own money first. Families must not have used more than 50% of their net income and liquid assets for purposes other than basic needs during the 60 days before the application. The amount of assistance provided might not cover the entire emergency, but it can help. Funds may help with:- Rent, rental deposit, and late mortgage payment assistance. If the immediate crisis includes past due rent/mortgage, no more than two months of previous unpaid housing costs are permitted. Aid for rental deposits is limited to an amount equal to one month's rent.- Electricity, water, sewer, garbage, fuel oil, or natural gas utilities. Utility crisis aid can only be provided from the current to the past two months and does not include reconnection fees. Crisis aid for utility deposits and fuel oil crisis funds are limited.- Coordination with other local resources that may help meet the crisis need, either fully or in part is mandatory (i.e. Southwest Minnesota Opportunity Council, Heat Share, Salvation Army, etc.). Denial of eligibility from such resources or verification that funds are not available to assist with the crisis is required.
