Financial assistance varies depending on household income and fuel costs. The Energy Assistance Program provides additional grants for eligible households who need help with:- Getting reconnected to heat and power after disconnections- Paying for emergency fuel deliveries of propane, heating oil, or biofuel- Preventing disconnectionThe deadline to apply for this program was May 31, 2024. Applications for the 2024-2025 heating season will be accepted starting September 2024.Other services may include Weatherization Program and help with heating system emergencies. The program allows the agency to repair or in some cases replace heating units when they are determined to be unsafe such as a cracked heat exchanger or other issues. The Weatherization Program is a one-time grant to assist with weatherization-related repairs. The program helps reduce fuel and electric costs for low-income renters and homeowners.
