Provides counseling services to individuals, couples, and families including:- Anxiety related issues- Addiction counseling for tobacco, alcohol, drugs and other chemicals, gambling, food, and spending money- Counseling for children and adolescents for Autism, ADHD, eating disorders, fetal alcohol syndrome, behavioral problems, school problems, Depression, and Anxiety issues- Couples counseling such as improving communication, developing intimacy and closeness in a relationship, and relationship crisis- Depression and developing coping strategies to manage it- Family counseling such as separation, divorce, blended families, parenting, parenting issues, and childhood behavioral issues- Marriage counseling such as post-affair recovery, intimacy issues, anger, marital dissatisfaction, improving communication, and developing conflict resolution skills- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder counseling such those who have past trauma with physical abuse, mental abuse, sexual abuse, or those who have witnessed a traumatic event- Spiritual counseling for those struggling with their purpose in life, anger with God, or have internal struggles concerning their religion/faith and the meaning of life

Helps people without children who can't work enough to support themselves, and whose income and resources are very low pay for basic needs. The maximum monthly benefit is:- $128 for a person living in a licensed residential facility or receiving substance use disorder treatment services- $350 for a person living in the community- Emergency funds may be available if the individual cannot pay for basic needs, such as shelter or food, and their health or safety is at risk because of thisPeople who get GA are also eligible for help with medical and food costs through Medical Assistance - MA and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - SNAP.

Comprehensive geriatric assessment, case management, shopping, transportation, caregiver support and other services to help adults over 60 live safely and independently at home. Services include: - Care Planning and Consultation- Holocaust Survivor Support- Memory Café- Transportation for clients of the program, Monday - Friday, with at least two days' notice- Volunteers who provide friendly visiting and socialization

Offers a nurse line available 24 hours/7 days a week for individuals who may need to speak with a nurse about medical care and where to go for care. Nurses can provide medical advice on what potential options are available, such as virtual care, primary care, urgent care options, or seek emergency care if needed at a Johnson Memorial Health Services location

One-day-return volunteer transportation to routine, out-of-town medical appointments. Volunteers use their own vehicles to pick-up clients at home, make trip to appointment and return client home. Six-time limit per calendar year.

Cash-grant program for adults with low incomes experiencing a household emergency. Adults can receive assistance once every 12 months. The assistance received must resolve the crisis. Adults must use their own money first. The amount of assistance provided might not cover the entire emergency, but it can help.?Short-term, one-time grant assistance for persons in a financial crisis because of fire, flood, storm, illness, accident, theft, utility shut-off, eviction, foreclosure, moving expense, necessary home repairs, or need for furniture or appliance replacement or repair.

Provides a no-cost child and family development program for families with children living in Ramsey County. The program focuses on school-readiness to prepare children for Kindergarten by utilizing developmentally appropriate and social-emotional curriculum. Provides:- Early Head Start: A home- and center-based program to support children and families to be their first and most important teacher- Encouragement of children to speak their native/home language, as well as English- Free meals, family fun, and parent engagement events- Head Start: Offers extended and full day programs for children

Investigates complaints of alleged misconduct against Minneapolis Police Officers.The complaint review process steps are as followed: - Mediation: Individual(s) and officer(s) involved meet with a mediator. The goal is to resolve the situation.- Supervisor Review: The complaint is forwarded to the person who supervises the officer(s). Any disciplinary action takes place at the precinct level.- Dismissal: The complaint does not describe a violation and/or complaint is not about a Minneapolis police officer- Investigation: If an investigation is recommended, then they will assign the case to either a civilian or a sworn police investigator, based on the complaint.- After the Investigation: Two civilians and two sworn officers from the Police Conduct Review Panel review the results. They make a recommendation to the Minneapolis Police Chief and the Police Chief determines the discipline.NOTE: If the Police Conduct Review Panel determines an individual(s) case has no merit they will get 15 days to appeal their decision. The final disciplinary decision is made by the Chief of Police and is subject to the Minnesota Government Data Practice Act.
