Program Fees

  • No Fee
Provides investigation and intervention services on behalf of vulnerable adults who are unable to act on their behalf, manage their affairs, or are in immediate danger of abuse. Types of abuse may be physical, emotional, sexual abuse, unsafe or hazardous living conditions, exploitation, neglect, or abandonment. Services include:- Taking reports and investigating abuse and/or maltreatment- Removal of the individual to safer surroundings- Services necessary to remove the conditions that have created a threat to lifeNOTE: Complaints, questions, or concerns regarding incidents in facilities licensed by the Health Department, such as hospitals, nursing homes, boarding care homes, supervised living facilities, assisted living facilities, and home health agencies, can be referred to the Minnesota Board on Aging Ombudsman for Long-Term Care.
