Eligibility

- Adults who have highly complex psychiatric and medical conditions who exhibit challenging or aggressive behaviors - Adults who have been civilly committed by a court as mentally ill - Residents of Minnesota

- Office: 24 hours/7 days a week - Visiting Hours: 6 pm - 8 pm Monday - Friday 1 pm - 2 pm and 6 pm - 8 pm Saturday - Sunday

Description

Provides inpatient behavioral health care to adults that community hospitals cannot or will not treat. Patients often have highly complex psychiatric and medical conditions and can exhibit challenging or aggressive behaviors. Most patients have been civilly committed by a court as mentally ill. Many are under more than one civil commitment. Many patients are facing criminal proceedings. Secure facility. On average, patients stay in the hospital about 90 days before discharge.
