Description

The Taxpayer Advocate Service is an independent organization within the IRS with the goal of ensuring that every taxpayer is treated fairly. This service can help if individuals can't resolve their problem with the IRS and: - The problem is causing financial difficulties for you, your family, or your business. - The individual (or their business) is facing an immediate threat of adverse action. - The individual has tried repeatedly to contact the IRS but no one has responded, or the IRS hasn't responded by the date promised.
