Provides assistance and support to veterans and their dependents in obtaining benefits through county, federal, and state programs. Benefits include:- Benefit education programs- Burial, dental, dependent/survivor, disability, medical, and optical benefits- Education assistance- Home loan guarantee- Life insurance- Special needs services- Subsistence Grant: Financial assistance for housing (rent), personal needs, utilities (electric, gas, heating, sewer service, telephone, trash/recycling, and water), and special needs to veterans who are unable to work due to a temporary disability - Van transportation to veterans' medical appointments- Veterans benefits public self-help station - Vocational readiness and employment
