Provides assistance and support to veterans and their dependents in obtaining benefits through county, federal, and state programs. Benefits include: - Benefit education programs - Burial, dental, dependent/survivor, disability, medical, and optical benefits - Education assistance - Home loan guarantee - Life insurance - Special needs services - Subsistence Grant: Financial assistance for housing (rent), personal needs, utilities (electric, gas, heating, sewer service, telephone, trash/recycling, and water), and special needs to veterans who are unable to work due to a temporary disability - Van transportation to veterans' medical appointments - Veterans benefits public self-help station - Vocational readiness and employment
