The procedure is a simple and painless test that takes just five minutes. An instrument measures sounds or echoes in the ear canal that indicate normal hearing sensitivity. Infants should be tested before they are six weeks of age. All Carlton County parents are urged to contact their physician and discuss infant hearing screening.
