Mental Health First Aid Training - Wellness in the Woods

8 hour course aimed at improving mental health literacy for individuals and professionals. The course teaches basic mental health first aid skills for a mental health problem or crisis by providing education related to: - Assessing the risk of suicide and/or self-harm - Encouraging others to practice self-directed help and other support systems - Encouraging appropriate and professional help - Giving reassurance and information - Non-judgmental listening - Understanding and recognizing signs of a crisis or issue related to psychological distressNOTE: Program is not a replacement for therapy or professional mental health assistance/services
