Juvenile Probation includes the following services:- Conducts prehearing investigations to provide Juvenile Court with assessment information, social histories and recommendations for disposition of juveniles with status offenses and delinquencies. Also conducts certification studies for youth with the most serious offenses that may be certified as adults- Offers a full range of Restorative Justice and Victim Services interventions including determination of restitution, family group counseling and victim/offender mediation- Oversees the Juvenile Sentencing to Service Program which allows offenders to complete court-ordered obligations and learn new work skills- Provides community based probation supervision, partnering with schools, community organizations, law enforcement, local businesses and neighborhood associations to maximize resources to help juveniles comply with court orders, remain law abiding and realize their potential- Provides intensive supervision for serious and/or chronic offenders to include individual/family counseling, referral to community resources and out of home placement if necessary- Provides specialized supervision programs for sex offenders, weapons offenders, juveniles who are chemically dependent, have mental health problems or are developmentally disabled; also supervises those with Extended Jurisdiction Juvenile status or who are on juvenile parole- Uses standardized assessment and evaluation tools to identify youth with mental health issues and make appropriate referrals for interventionLocations:- The Courtyard (Health Services Building), 525 Portland Avenue, Suite 260, Minneapolis, 6(612)596-8400, Fax (612)321-3471- Penn Station, 1256 Penn Avenue North, Suite 4000, Minneapolis, (612)596-9700- Juvenile Justice Center, 590 Park Avenue, Minneapolis, (612)348-3700- The OutPost, 3650 Fremont Avenue North, Minneapolis, (612)596-6844- Southside Garage, 3015 12th Avenue South, Minneapolis, (612)596-0440
