Eligibility

Residents of Minnesota must meet all requirements: - Have a non-emergency medical or humanitarian need far from home (usually between 100-1,000 miles from home) - Have a financial or medical need for assistance - Have their own transportation to and from the airport - Provide a doctor's name and fax number for Lifeline Pilots to contact for a Physician's Release - Be able to fly in a small, 4-6 seat, non-pressurized aircraft - Be able to board the aircraft with minimal assistance - Be able to sit upright in the standard aircraft seat - Be willing to sign a liability release form

Description

Coordinates free air transportation, through volunteer pilots, for passengers with non-emergency medical or humanitarian needs far from home. Humanitarian flights are on a case-by-case basis. Flights are typically facilitated in the following states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. When a departure or destination is beyond the service area, Lifeline Pilots will partner with other volunteer pilot organizations to serve those in need. All flights are provided by volunteer pilots. Pilot volunteers are accepted, and specific eligibility apply.
