Eligibility

  • Household must own or be purchasing a primary, owner-occupied home located in Renville County and meet applicable income eligibility requirements- Properties financed through contract for deed are not eligible- Mobile homes may be ineligible depending on ownership and property classification- Property taxes must be current, and valid homeowners insurance is required

  • Proof of household income- Valid government-issued photo identification- Proof of homeowners insurance- Contractor or material supplier bids (for home improvement projects)- Documentation of additional financing, if required to complete the project

Provides down payment assistance loans and home improvement financing to eligible homeowners in Renville County.- Assistance amounts are generally up to $6,000 per program - Down payment loans are deferred and may assist with closing costs for first-time homebuyers- Home improvement loans are 0% interest, typically repayable over five years, and may require a 1:1 match of project fundsAdditional deferred assistance may be available for low-income households, including those with children or a household member with a disability.
