Volunteer Attorney Program - Legal Assistance of Olmsted County

Residents of Olmsted County and individuals with cases in Olmsted County. Applicants must have annual income at or below 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. In an emergency (emergency child custody matter; dissolution case where child custody is contested, and the client has been served a summons and petition; imminent loss of housing; Orders for Protection or Restraining Orders), individuals with annual income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines are eligible.

Private attorneys agree to take cases for clients who have been screened through the intake process and either need representation in a matter that is not an area of Legal Assistance of Olmsted County's expertise, or where there is a conflict of interest.
