Local Homeless Prevention Aid Program for Families - Carver County Health and Human Services

Eligibility

Families with children in pre-Kindergarten - 12th grade (3 years and older) who are residents of Carver County and are experiencing:- Insufficient funds to pay for housing or utility costs- Lacking a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence- Living in overcrowded conditions in their current housing- Must have enough net income to afford current or prospective residence- Paying more than 50 percent of their income for rent/mortgage

Required documents

Application/registration form bank account balance within the last 30 days contact information for property manager documentation for net income from the last 30 days, billing statement of rent/mortgage, homeowner's association dues, or utilities owed

8 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday

Do not refer.An emergency housing assistance program for families with children enrolled in a pre-Kindergarten - 12th grade who are experiencing the following:- Lacking a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence- Living in overcrowded conditions in their current housing- Paying more than 50 percent of their income for rent/mortgage?The program provides financial assistance for rent, mortgage, homeowner's association dues, or utilities when available to keep families from losing housing and help those experiencing homelessness find housing.
