Residents of Arden Hills, Falcon Heights, Little Canada, North Oaks, Shoreview, Vadnais Heights and White Bear Township. Must be a US citizen or lawful permanent residents and 21 years or older. Cannot be a fugitive or the subject of a restraining order.

Program Fees
- A permit or a denial letter will be mailed within seven days - Processes applications for gun purchase permits in Ramsey County cities not covered by their police department. Must have a permit to obtain a handgun through purchase, sale, gift, loan, assignment, or other delivery from another person. - Permits are valid for one year - Sheriff's office will conduct a series of background-related checks to assure state law's eligibility requirements are met
