Accepts items that are flammable, corrosive, toxic, poisonous, or reactive including:- Adhesives and putties- Aerosol Spray Products: Spray paint, oven cleaner, and pesticides- Appliances: Washers, dryers, refrigerators, stoves, dehumidifiers, water heaters, and window air conditioners; ammonia appliances- Automotive Chemicals: Gas, oil and antifreeze (must be in a container that is two and a half gallons or smaller in size); brake or power steering fluid- Batteries (lead acid)- Cell phones- Electronics: TVs; stereos, and computer components- Fuels and Solvents: Fingernail polish remover, charcoal lighter fluid, and kerosene- Household Chemicals: Oven cleaner; household or toilet bowl or drain cleaners; furniture polish; moth balls; unused or outdated medicines- Mercury: Fluorescent tubes, compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs), thermometers, and thermostats- Paint Products: Paint, stain, varnish, polyurethane, and paint stripper- Sharps (needles)- Tires: From cars and light trucks (SUVs and pickup trucks)- Wood preservatives- Yard Chemicals: Non-agricultural pesticides, poisons, weed killers, and pool chemicals RE-USE Room:Residents and businesses can look through thousands of household products to take. Commonly found items include interior and exterior house paint; stain and varnish; spray paint; automotive products (antifreeze and other fluids, oils and lubricants, waxes and cleaners); lawn and garden products; household items (cleaning chemicals, tile products, caulk, adhesives, and putty).
