Provide assistance and support to veterans and their dependents in obtaining benefits through county, state, and federal programs. Benefits include:- Assistance obtaining DD-214 and discharge review- Burial and memorial benefits- Disability compensation (service-connected)- Education benefits (GI Bill and survivor/dependent education programs)- Emergency financial assistance through Minnesota State Soldiers Assistance Program (when eligible)- Dental and optical assistance programs (income-based state benefits)- Survivor and dependent benefits (DIC, pensions, education assistance)- Transportation assistance to VA medical centers- Veterans pension (non-service-connected)- VA healthcare enrollment and community care referrals- VA home loan guaranty program- VA life insurance programs (SGLI, VGLI, etc.)
