Eligibility

Youth and young adults ages 17 - 25 who are either pregnant or parenting a child under the age of three years old and have lacked a permanent place to live continuously for a year or more, or at least four times in the past three years

Application process

Call United Way 211 for a pre-screen to access the Ramsey County Coordinated Access to Housing and Shelter (CAHS). Pre-screens are provided by United Way 211 and are available 24 hours/7 days a week by dialing 211 or (651)291-0211.

Fees

- Housing cost is subsidized by Project-based Section 8, therefore, tenants are responsible for monthly rental payments equivalent to 30 percent of their monthly income. Remaining rental payments are made by St. Paul PHA. - The first month's rent and security deposit (equivalent to the first month's rent) are due upon move-in. This can be paid by a third party on behalf of the tenant.

Individualized service plans may include: - Community building activities - Crisis intervention - Chemical health support - Life skills classes - Individual and group counseling - Job readiness and skills training - Parenting education
