Application process

- Call; email; visit website; walk in - Residents of Isanti County must contact the Isanti County Environmental Services Office for a voucher - Residents of Washington County may participate under a reciprocal use agreement - All accepted items must be in five-gallon containers or less

Fees

Free to residents of Chisago and Washington counties; residents of Isanti County can participate with a voucher from Isanti County Zoning; other county residents pay $70 dollar minimum

Items accepted: - Automotive/Petroleum Products: Antifreeze, brake fluid, charcoal lighter fluid, gas, kerosene, oil, oil filters, power steering fluid, transmission fluid, etc. - Home Improvement Products: Adhesives, driveway sealers, paints, paint stripper, paint thinner, roofing tar, rust remover, solvents, stains, varnish, wood preservatives, aerosols, etc. - Batteries: Rechargeable batteries, including nicad, button batteries, and small sealed lead-acid batteries (discard alkaline and carbon batteries in trash) - Fluorescent bulbs - Household Cleaners: Cleaning products, drain cleaners, metal cleaners, oven cleaners, spot removers, etc. - Lawn and Garden Chemicals: Fertilizer with weed killer, flea killer, herbicides, mothballs, pesticides, etc. - Miscellaneous Items: Acids and bases, mercury, pool chemicals, photographic chemicals, propane cylinders, cell phones, etc.
