Assists students and families with special education needs access to appropriate services, including services in the following disability areas and related service areas: - Autism spectrum disorder - Deaf and hard of hearing - Deaf-blindness - Developmentally adapted physical education - Developmental cognitive disability - Emotional or behavioral disorders - Physically impaired - Severely multiply impaired - Specific learning disability - Speech or language impairments - Traumatic brain injury - Visually impaired Children may be eligible for special education services at birth. Parents may also initiate the request for evaluation by submitting a written request for evaluation to the school. ?NOTE: Child must live or be attending a school in the district.
