Eligibility
- Anyone interested in foster care and/or persons looking to become licensed foster care providers who are residents of Anoka CountyAdult Foster Care individuals must:- Be at least 18 years old- Have a functional impairment and require assistance with daily personal care- Agree to placement in an adult foster care home- Does not require hospitalization or care in another type of medical or psychiatric facility- Be recommended for placement by a county social worker or public health nurse through an assessment process- Not display suicidal or homicidal tendencies, or exhibit violent or aggressive behavior that cannot be managed in a foster care setting- Have a source of payment for care, such as private resources, SSI, RSDI, wages from employment, or Medical Assistance and Housing Support funding through the State of Minnesota- Residents of Anoka County

Provides general information and licensing for persons interested in becoming foster care providers. Training and support for foster care providers on emergency, short-term, and long-term placement.Also provides residential support for individuals ages 18 and older who need assistance with daily living due to physical, developmental, mental health, or aging-related challenges.
